Title: Best Costume

So I read the reviews first and was worried when it came to size. I'm 5' and weigh 114lbs, normally take an extra small or a size 2. But I didn't want to feel uncomfortable in this costume dancing around and all. I ordered the size medium and it was a tight squeeze, but enough for me to feel comfortable. I would recommend larger sizes for mostly everyone, but its a fantastic costume. I don't recommend the makeup, instead go to a costume store that sells Snazaroo makeup and get 2 colors of blue. The wig was also well worth the money! I had the best costume at the party I went to and had so many compliments!

Title: Great time

After reading other review on this and knowing that sizing runs different with every company, I went with a large(Dress size 10-14). I'm 5'4 and athletic build. So I couldn't wait to try this on. It was just the length for my legs but the arms was a little short. The body was nice but a little short for me, will give you a bit of a wedgie. If I had to do it again I would have stayed with what I got. If they had a xl it would have been too big. It is a fitted suit with stretch. If you don't like fitted clothing and showing your shape then don't get this. But the whole night I got nothing but great complement on it. Plus I did a great makeup job.

Title: Worth it in the end

When I first got this costume, I was disappointed. It was cheaply made and there were tears in the thigh area as well as the back by the tail. I'm 5'3, 130 lbs and I got a medium and it fit, but it made me look a little boxy because the costume didn't contour with my back or my curves. I didn't return it because Halloween was so close so I sucked it up and stitched up the rips myself (which didn't take too long) and I dressed it up. In the end... it was worth it! It came together perfectly and I got soooo many compliments the whole night! With the right makeup and accessories, this costume is definitely a hit. Plus, at $35 you can't go wrong because so many other places are selling it for like $60-80. I was initially going to give this 3 stars, but after last night, definitely 4. I also originally ordered the Neytiri wig from this site as well, but I was incredibly disappointed and chose not to wear it. The braids are sparse and mine was missing hair, so I just got a long wing, added some braids and used the headpiece that came with this costume.

Title: Very good
Date: May 18, 2011
It is perfect fit and very sexy costume, but you need to remember one thing - you have to be critical to yourself. If you are average size on America continent, delicately saying chubby... do not even try it!!! It is for women in the model in the picture size!!! Here are a lot of great costumes for the bigger size people as well. I am 34, 1.64 cm tall, around 50 kg weight... XS was perfect fit, I had only move the tail into right place... And add some homemade accessories to make it fully real. I never had more fun and looked (and feel) more sexy. If you not XS, S size maybe just try Trudy's costume? She was also beautiful woman, but not such a skeletal like Na'vis and me :D Have fun, girls, not complexes !

Title: Fun, but length is a tad short...
Date: Nov 06, 2010
I ordered this costume in a large, which made me nervous, but after reading a review about the length of the legs, I didn't want to be stuck with an Avatar in capris. I'm 5'8'' and weigh 130, but the large was the better choice. There are foot straps that secure under the heel with a velcro strap, and it actually stays in place. However, when you raise your arms up, the material pulls and you won't be very successful getting your arms over your head without the who costume moving with your arms. It's still a great costume, I had fun in it and it was a big success. I'm happy with the purchase and all the accessories included.

Title: Great Costume!
Date: Nov 04, 2010
It is skin tight, but I didn't find it to be choking. If you don't wear anything over/underneath, you can feel pretty exposed in the behind, but most people are not dressed appropriately on Halloween anyway. I unfortunately went to a party where no one was inappropriately dressed, so I felt like I had to have my back against the wall the whole time or everyone would have been staring. I didn't have any problems with the loin cloth, though it was a bit off center, and you'll definitely want coverage down there, but I don't think it's a problem. I am 5'5" 120 and I bought an extra small and it was perfect. I thought the color matched the photo. I don't think you need to buy the wig, as it does come with feathers and beads to put in your hair, and makeup is easy to do on your own at home with a little blue eyeliner (also used on lips), blue eye shadow (also used on cheeks for the stripes) and blue mascara. Definitely a good buy!

Title: Fun, unique costume!
Date: Nov 02, 2010
I was really happy with the price, and it came in right on schedule, two days before Halloween. The costume was very cute, very sexy, it fit like a glove, in fact, a little too much. I felt the torso was too short, but the rest was perfect. I got lots of compliments on it, and it was definitely a unique costume! Would buy from this website again.

Title: did not fit well but i made it work
Date: Nov 02, 2010
I am 5'8 size 4/6. I bought Medium (sizes 6-10) The length was a little short and the torso area fit me terribly. The torso area did not fit tight and contour to my body. However, I made it work buy cutting holes in the back and tying cloth together to tighten it. So basically, I laced it up in the back area to make it tighter. Which worked fine. And if someone is planning on buying this I used Snazaroo, turqoise face paint. Worked great! I could see maybe the outfit fitting someone better if they were shorter/have a shorter torso.

Skin Tight is right, kinda choking, but you get used to it as the night goes on. I didn't understand why the apron was not consistent all the way threw, it was half brown and half the weird blue purple string. Everyone loved my costume.

This costume was absolutely awesome!! I ordered an extra small as I am 5'6 and 107lbs, but then after reading the other reviews panicked and ordered a small. So i recieved the ex-small and it worked good....was a little short in the torso, but would work. I recieved the small and I couldn't even get it on, it was a completely different color and was sewn different!! There wasn't even an Avatar tag in it like the extra small. Other than that minor problem...I was able to use my first order and it was a huge success. Along with the wig and the makeup I had everyone looking at me!! It was so much fun!!

This is a fun product and looked very nice, its downfall was size putting on a 5'5" female of average build it was way to small If the cut was running small they should have offered a XL and a XXL which really would then be a XL Again the lenght was pretty good a bit short for a L Was not able to use it due to that fact.

AVATAR - An Overview

Avatar is a 2009 American epic science fiction film written and directed by James Cameron, and starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, Joel David Moore, Giovanni Ribisi and Sigourney Weaver. The film is set in the mid-22nd century, when humans are mining a precious mineral called unobtanium on Pandora, a lush moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system. The expansion of the mining colony threatens the continued existence of a local tribe of Na'vi—a humanoid species indigenous to Pandora. The film's title refers to the genetically engineeredNa'vi-human hybrid bodies used by a team of researchers to interact with the natives of Pandora.

Development on Avatar began in 1994, when Cameron wrote an 80-page scriptment for the film. Filming was supposed to take place after the completion of Cameron's 1997 film Titanic, for a planned release in 1999, but according to Cameron, the necessary technology was not yet available to achieve his vision of the film. Work on the language for the film's extraterrestrial beings began in summer 2005, and Cameron began developing the screenplay and fictional universe in early 2006. Avatar was officially budgeted at $237 million. Other estimates put the cost between $280 million and $310 million for production and at $150 million for promotion. The film was released for traditional viewing, 3-D viewing (using the RealD 3D,Dolby 3D, XpanD 3D, and IMAX 3D formats), and "4-D" viewing. The stereoscopic filmmaking was touted as a breakthrough in cinematic technology.

Avatar premiered in London on December 10, 2009, and was internationally released on December 16 and in the United States and Canada onDecember 18, to critical acclaim and commercial success. The film broke several box office records during its release and became thehighest-grossing film of all time in the U.S. and Canada and also worldwide, surpassing Titanic, which had held the records for the previous twelve years. It also became the first film to gross more than $2 billion. Avatar was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won three, for Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction. The film's home release went on to break opening sales records and became the top-selling Blu-ray of all time. Following the film's success, Cameron signed with 20th Century Fox to produce two sequels, making Avatar the first of a planned trilogy.

In 2154, the RDA Corporation is mining a valuable mineral called unobtanium on Pandora, a lush, Earth-like moon with an atmosphere poisonous to humans in the Alpha Centauri star system.[10] Pandora is inhabited by the Na'vi, 10-foot-tall (3 m), blue-skinned, sapient humanoids[32] who live in harmony with nature and worship a mother goddess called Eywa.

To learn about the Na'vi and Pandora's biosphere, scientists use Na'vi-human hybrid bodies called avatars that are operated via mental link by genetically matched humans. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paraplegic former marine, replaces his twin brother, a scientist trained as an avatar operator who was murdered in a robbery. Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver), head of the Avatar Program, considers Sully an inadequate replacement and assigns him as a bodyguard. While protecting the avatars of Grace and scientist Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore) on their expedition to collect biological samples and data in the forest, Jake's avatar is attacked by a jungle predator thanator. Fleeing for his life, Jake strays from the rest of the group and gets lost in the forest. Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), a female Na'vi, stumbles upon Jake and reluctantly rescues him from Pandora's wildlife. Seeing portents from Eywa, she takes him to her clan's dwelling, Hometree; there, Jake meets Neytiri's father, clan chief Eytukan (Wes Studi). Neytiri's mother Mo'at (C. C. H. Pounder), the clan's spiritual leader, orders her daughter to teach the "warrior dreamwalker" their ways.

The head of Sec-Ops, the RDA's private security force, Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), promises Jake that the company will help him walk again if he gathers intelligence about the Na'vi.Hometree is on top of the richest deposits of unobtanium for hundreds of miles. When Grace learns that Jake is passing information to Quaritch, she relocates herself, Jake, and Norm to a remote outpost. Over three months, Jake grows close to Neytiri and her people. After Jake is initiated into the tribe, he and Neytiri choose each other as mates. Jake reveals his change of allegiance when he attempts to disable a bulldozer that threatens to destroy a sacred Na'vi site. When Quaritch shows a videofootage of Jake's attack on the bulldozer to Administrator Parker Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi), the leader of the RDA colony, along with [34] one of Jake's video diary entries, in which Jake admits that the Na'vi will never abandon Hometree, Selfridge orders Hometree destroyed.

Despite Grace's argument that destroying Hometree could affect the bio-botanical neural network to which Pandoran organisms are connected, Selfridge gives Jake and Grace one hour to convince the Na'vi to evacuate. When Jake reveals his original mission, Neytiri accuses him of betraying the entire tribe, and Jake and Grace's avatars are taken captive. Quaritch's forces destroy Hometree, killing Neytiri's father, as well as many others. Mo'at frees Jake and Grace, but they are unplugged from their avatars back at RDA headquarters and imprisoned. Trudy Chacón (Michelle Rodriguez), a pilot disgusted with Quaritch's brutal methods, breaks them out and flies them to the avatar link outpost. During the escape, Quaritch shoots and seriously wounds Grace.

The Na'vi are able to link mentally with some animals. To regain the Na'vi's trust, Jake takes a dangerous gamble and links with a Toruk, a powerful pterodactyl-like predator that has been tamed only five times in Na'vi history. Jake finds the refugees at the sacred Tree of Souls and pleads with Mo'at to heal Grace. The clan attempts to transfer Grace from her human body into her avatar with the aid of the Tree, but she succumbs to her injuries before the process can be completed.

Supported by the new Omaticaya chief, Tsu'tey (Laz Alonso), Jake recruits thousands of warriors from neighboring clans. On the eve of battle, Jake prays to Eywa, via a neural connection to the Tree of Souls, to intercede on behalf of the Na'vi, although Neytiri warns him that Eywa does not take sides. Quaritch detects the mobilization of the Na'vi and convinces Selfridge to authorize a preemptive strike against the Tree of Souls, believing that its destruction will demoralize the natives.

The Na'vi fight back but suffer heavy casualties, including Tsu'tey and Trudy. Just when all seems lost, Pandoran wildlife unexpectedly join the attack and overwhelm the humans, which Neytiri interprets as Eywa answering Jake's prayer. Jake destroys a shuttle converted into a makeshift bomber before it can reach the Tree of Souls. Quaritch makes a narrow escape from his ship just as it is destroyed, and dons an AMP suit. He stumbles upon and breaches the avatar link unit containing Jake's human body, exposing Jake to Pandora's poisonous atmosphere. Neytiri kills Quaritch and gets to Jake in time to save him. They reaffirm their love as she sees his human body for the first time.

With the exception of Jake, Norm, Max, and several other scientists, all humans are expelled from Pandora. Jake is seen wearing the insignia of the Omaticaya leader. The clan performs the ritual dedicated to Eywa that permanently transfers Jake from his human body into his avatar.
